It's a big day for all Malaysians. A moment in history, and whatever the outcome is today; we know it will never be the same again.
I'm not 21 and for that i regretfully am not able to vote. The most I can do is to stand by and offer encouragement to those who are doing their parts.
But i cannot stand by and watch our government condemn us to a life of lies, corruption and dirty games. Want to know what I think?
It's unfair. That word itself is just too neutral for what it's really worth. It doesn't convey enough to get me anywhere. I am angry and I am frustrated.
Despite the Bersih Rally's sole purpose of asking for a fair and clean election with the use of indellible ink, today's ink seemed to wash off just fine after a round under the tap. Who do they take us for? Idiots? (As far as I'm concerned, pictorial evidence speaks more than mere words).
The world is watching. But why do they fight it? We the people are one. As a democracy, we have the right to elect our leaders. Don't their actions signify their reluctance to hand over power as a form of autocracy?
Why do you award identification cards to non-locals, charter flights and bring them in by the thousands, offer them ids for free (with the price of voting for your party), pay off the public to attend your talks, give handouts and promise citizens cash if they vote for you (it's not your money to offer). Are you really that afraid? Your determintation to win this election only further fuel our desire to get you out of office. We've been set back by years all due to your greed and desire for more.
It is not fair. You've got the IC department under your clutches F having them issue out ids to whoever who promises to vote for you.
Why not let Malaysians working in Singapore do postal voting? Why can't 18 year olds vote when you've got foreigners voting for you? You don't want what's best for us.
'UBAH' that's all we ask for.
It's funny how you bring up talks of May 13th, so keen to remind us; almost as if you're threatening us. Today is the 5th of May, 2013. Let it go down in the history of Malaysia.
What we ask for is clear - CHANGE.
