I will reblog this forever! This pic is just too amazing!

It's Saturday!

I've finished an exhausting week that's had it's fair share of pleasant surprises and bitter moments.

Right now, I feel like sitting in an isolated booth in Mc Donalds and staring out at the street below, the preferable weather should be a rainy one. I just love prolonging my misery, don't I?

When I wake up, all I will want to do will be to curl up with my pillow against my torso. It's the best feeling in the  morning.

And if I could, I'd take my pillow with me anywhere. It's like bringing home with you.

It's the world's perception of pretty girls, right? That they're just faces? More often style over substance. But sometimes, there's much more to it than them. Otherwise, everyone just wants to be that 'one' person who can crack the code. I hate it when they act as if they know everything that's going on.

I can't say that I'm completely ecstatic about the way I'm living my life right now, but I have to say, I'm contented.

I'm tired of coveting. Or even dreaming for that matter. That doesn't mean I'll stop. But it does mean that I'll look at things a tad more appreciatively from now on.

These two weeks have taught me a lot about myself - of how others perceive me, and of how I perceive myself. I've constantly put myself on the down-low, believing that I don't really matter, or like I'm a piece of speckled dust.

I'm not promoting conceitedness or anything. I'm just trying to encourage everyone to take a look at themselves from time to time, from the perspective of others. It really does help, especially when you feel like shit.

Maybe, you'll be able to see how beautiful you are too.

I think today was an uneventfully productive day. I swear I'm having problems keeping awake in class, thanks to back-to-back three-hour classes plus a radio pod-cast recording in between and wolfing down lunch like a hungry hyena. My weekend's officially concluded and I can't wait for Friday again. Wait, screw that. I hate the class I have on Friday.

Frankly, I've never been a person who's accustomed to seeing her face in pictures, videos or up on anything whatsoever. I still feel icky when I see myself from a secondary point of view. It's odd, maybe it's because we've always taken ourselves for granted? But I sincerely think I'll never get used to it.

This week is going to be an insane one. With deadlines looming and a lack of time, motivation, a burst of competitiveness, irritation, exasperation and annoyance, it's a struggle to constantly find yourself going through the same ritual and motion each day.

I used to be scared of the little things, but these two months have certainly proved a lot of character-building for me. From close-shaves on the road, to resourcing out materials independently, I think I've found my niche. I'm never going to be an excellently alert driver, and neither am I going to succeed at being a sly source-hunter. At least I'll stay somewhere in between.

Darn. I need to make notes and complete a report.
Cheers. Tomorrow's an equally long day.

I find a strange comfort in blogging. I can't exactly pinpoint why. Maybe it's because I can discreetly express myself and not feel as if I'm judged. And even if I was being judged, it's not exactly a damn I would give.

With age comes responsibility. We all know that.
I find it hard to abide by it. To embody a living example to my siblings. They don't know I struggle every day.
I find it hard to dwell in. To symbolize a head. Where everyone else feels like they can slack off because they know you can't help but pick up after their shit.

Shit.
I just want to get lost now. And I don't want to be found, because I'd like to emerge when I feel like it.

Yet another day.

Follow for more tea, coffee, and books

I need to get my priority boots on. There's just not enough time to get everything done. And mid-day naps just don't help one bit.

I miss Friday nights spent at home, curled up in my bed, with a stack of thick books, a mug of steaming coffee and an endless list of movies to watch.

Work, assignments and responsibilities, when are you going to go away?

Sandwich-fest

I can't even....

Cheers to fitting food that fits in your palm into your tummy. We really need to get a head-start on that one.
I am not an extremely sensitive person by nature. But, I am sensitive to little things that people assume I'm not. I am also not one to give examples.

Today, we were told that, 'in order to succeed in the advertising industry, one must be aggressive, bitchy and determined.'

I don't know if I fit into the criteria. I suppose I could, if I wanted to. But I wouldn't be able to pull it off for long, considering it's a three-in-one package you're supposed to turn up with; instead of just merely incorporating my salty personality and adding said characteristics on.

Sigh. All this talk is making me hungry.
Have I mentioned how much I love sandwiches? As long as there's pickles, relish, mustard and tons and tons of lettuce; I'm all for it.

A very quick one:

I'm kind of glad I see a little direction now. I just need to keep praying and praying for a more acute sense of direction and a purposeful existence. Even if it's temporary. I still like to get things done.

As for the damned drama script, I bluntly put this out straight - it's a complete waste of everyone's time!
For a lecturer to barely conduct two classes and spend four weeks (three of which are sick-leaves) and come back a week before mid-terms. How the hell do you expect us to learn anything???? Or even to pass this pathetic excuse of a subject?

Why, I am frustrated, of course.

And as I am about to collapse from exhaustion, I'll be off now.

I had a great Saturday with you, best friend.
Can't wait to see you Friday : )

I'm not a sun person. But I do enjoy warm weather and chilly days.

It's not helping that I have a midterm paper to attend to tomorrow. Lord, help me.

I want to fly places now. And most of all, I miss the beach - everything about it.

'You said forever.'

'I'm sorry.'

And then you find yourself turning and walking away from him. Hoping that the years spent together meant something, anything to him. Pushing the feeling of disbelief out of your head, hoping you'd get indoors before you start bawling an ocean.

He's someone else, isn't he? But you love him.

As for yourself, you're just the girl he used to love.
