I've always wanted to work in a bakery, at least once this lifetime.
To be surrounded by flour and rising dough
And feel the bread come alive.

Urgh, I just realize how creepy that sounds.

I've taken to writing in my journal these days. I don't think I want to feel like I'm divulging a part of myself to anonymous readers. I bear in mind that I'm not exactly a very expressive person (well, anywhere); and that perhaps this is me taking for granted my own anonymity. I feel I must grant myself temporary leave sometimes.

I like to tell myself that one day; one day - I'd get to live my adventure.
But not to get my hopes too high.
Because I could have lived it and not even known.

I have always (pretty much always) adored profound silence. A type of silence that not many can understand. Yet, it holds so much penultimate depths within. It's the type of silence that tends to wrap you up, warp your thinking even; the silence that eats into you without disturbing you. The one type of silence that you're bothered but comforted by it at the same time. I figured once I found someone I could share that type of silence with, some part of my questions would be solved.

I'm in another one of those fall moods, fairly because it's spluttering heat here and I'm like melted marshmallow every day. And frankly; it's also because I've stopped giving a damn about expectations. I just keep being let down. Then again, I'm probably not the only one.

I'm a little upset. Mainly because I haven't been given enough time to fully recover from whatever I was having a couple of days ago; and also because I haven't had sufficient time as of late to really pick up a hard-cover book and read. These days, I find myself scrolling through my cellphone and gingerly ticking stories off my to-read list because frankly I'm appalled at the lack of a good story plot and grammar negligence. I have this irrepressible urge to cringe and wince at the use of horrible grammar.

Yes, yes, to anyone's utmost horror, I'm a grammar Nazi. In all honesty, it's not that I correct others grammars (whether mentally, or not) because I want to; it's mostly out of habit and because it also borders along the lines of my belief that a well-read gentleman possesses intellect AND good grammar (and possible grammatically correct suave charm to exercise along with that).

A friend of mine once came to me in a "mess" - frazzled, dazed, frustrated; but oh-so-happy. He was in love, he claimed. I had to believe him, because I had never seen him in a more confusing state. His smile, contagious and the way he described her just simply brought a smile to my lips. She sounded beautiful.

What surprised me most was when her name was brought up, it was one that I recognized - from previous conversations. It isn't coincidence that the girl he was (is - I put, because they are happy together - with whatever stage they are at) in love with, he'd been in love with before. Over the years, he'd pursued her, from a friendly and romantic perspective (multiple times, might I add); had a falling out with her (once again, multiple times), dropped to the status as strangers from friends, before reverting back to friends; and having something happened that made him fall in love with her all over again and again. And again.

The problem that I find so hard to swallow, is that he had never fully gotten over her in the first place and according to him, he probably never will; even if anything else was to happen to them.

With permission to discuss this, and a healthy dose of opinions contributed, we both agree that they probably have one of the most complex relationships alive. When asked why they love each other, but yet date other people; his very blunt answer to me was, "I know what I'm going to end up with. But I don't know what I won't end up with."

It is with the utmost confusion that I ponder this. It makes so much sense, yet it's so hard to just grasp this very concept.

I know I've broached this topic once and I will probably do it again, but it's one of the topics that have been surfacing at the front of my mind more recently as of late. It's one of the things that I struggle to comprehend when I try to interpret my surroundings, society and situations I come across.

Maybe, one day I'll understand.

I've been sick the past few days. Like, really sick. And I've been making full use of Blogger's scheduled posts, else I'd never get any posts done, given my current mood.

Anyway, I've had quite a little bit of time to calm the waters, as I've always had turbulent thoughts. My first thought of when I recover is sort of a self-promise. "We will have an adventure!"

And of that, I'll make sure.
Just the other day in class, it was the first time the majority of us dabbled in the basics of Photoshop. Given how it was a late afternoon class and I was dozing off just tracing flowers in Illustrator; we were taught a little of cropping and editing. Much to my chagrin, the only "masterpiece" that came out from my station was pretty horrific. I apologize to all Noma fans out there; myself included, but I couldn't resist.

I know it is absolutely revolting. Even his face is so pixelated. I just got really lazy tracing out all the uneven petals and well, Noma was just a plus point.

We were tracing flowers, and she taught us how to crop humans and put them into the flowers. Its obvious someone needs a lot of brushing up.

Where Angels Fear To Tread.

When I told him "I love you" all those years ago, I never really fully comprehended the meaning of it. To me, it seemed the appropriate thing to tell someone you've been in love with. It didn't come out easily. In fact, I struggled with it, the fleet of emotions, the way my mind just went beserk every time his name came up, the way the words felt alien on my tongue when i practiced it in the silence of my room. And how I took two years to actually spill it out...only a handful of times.

I only understood a fraction of the power of those words.

Up until this day, I've never once repeated it to another guy. Because to me, the words "I love you" shouldn't just be thrown around. They shouldn't be misinterpreted for something such as an attraction, a minor crush or even an infatuation. Love means so much more. Its almost incomprehensible. Those words are sacred. they hold so much - unspoken, unexplainable, myriads of emotions and more - but they are simplified to the listeners - containing your heart, your world, your entire being.

Saying those words, puts you out there fully. You're vulnerable. If he decides to cut through your heart, you're a goner. But you love him enough to put yourself out there - because in your opinion, he's worth it. It's such a terrifying prospect, knowing he has the power to break you down, to crush you - as if you meant nothing to him. Yet, you have faith; you know you hold at least a fraction of some meaning to him.

There are no real reasons for love, but when you love someone; you immediately put them before you. Their thoughts, their feelings, their pain, their joy, their laughter. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever had the joy of experiencing. When you're in love, you will never have regrets; even if everything turned out wrong and not according to plan; there's no denying there was love felt. Even if you've moved on after all those years, you'd look back, reminisce over how your ability to love has changed so much, whether it has grown, or it has taught you to hold back; whether you're ready for it again - but most importantly; it has taught you to know when you're falling in love.

8 years on and I finally understand how a person will never be able to love the same twice.

September is here! Beauty is in red, yellow, gold, orange and brown hues.
I must admit those aren't exactly my favourite colours; but autumn does have a special place in my heart.
