It's a couple degrees cooler than it was yesterday, but not enough to erase the alcohol heat that has flushed my body. and while I'm busy enjoying having data on my phone for the first time; i'm still impeccably stoned from last night's rave.

Armin was good, IF only we'd been able to witness Cosmic Gate's renditions of Hardwell T.T

Anyway, back to enjoying the ride down to the circuit. WAHHHHHH Swedish House Mafia's playing now. *hearts *

Monday, March 11, 2013
I realize that it's probably not the best time to have epiphanies, but hell...epiphanies don't wait for anyone.

It has been an extended version of last week. Although it's only Monday, my body has reached its emotional highest and lowest that I've been in ages. Presumably from the stress of the exam (mainly studying at the last minute) - and no, it's not all procrastination's fault this round. I actually did study about a week ahead; but thanks to unequal distribution of workload, some of us ended up pouring more of our efforts into ensuring the entire group got their marks.

There are so so so many things that are at the tip of my tongue just waiting to be said, but when I actually stop for a bit to listen to what I have in mind, nothing comes out right. Everything comes out a jumble of words and emotions. So before I immerse myself in my thoughts; I must clarify that I am still in an extremely foul mood. The lack of sleep, lack of knowledge on consumer behavior and the fact that I haven't touched coffee in almost a month, is taking a really heavy toll on me.

First of all, I have to start out with how wronged I have assumed college to be. So far, it's been the best phase of my life - only because I flow with the phases and also because I just take things as they come - for better or worse. I have experienced so many things, and when I look back to how I was last year, I want to chuckle and tell my pre-mature self then to harden her heart, so she would not get the chance of being hurt.

Anyway, it's because I trust my anonymity and my readers anonymity that I'm throwing a little caution to the wind now.

College is a bittersweet place. It's a preview of the cut-throat world out there, yet it's a more civilized and muted version. It's amazing how a person can change so much over the course of a year. All these trials that we've gone through as individuals and as friends have certainly toughened us up. You learn which are the friends that are worth keeping, some friends who give up along the way, others whom you never expected to click with but yet find themselves in your life. Honestly, it's like an escalating drama scale, each semester only gets more dramatic.

When I hear of people complaining of how boring their college "classroom" lives are, I snicker. It's been hell here, the good and the bad all mashed up into a really messy mix of bitching-backstabbing-loving-hating. There's community jokes, collective amusement, social puffing, poker-faces, stoned-faces, pot-heads and the occasional child. Yet, it's the diversity that these people bring that makes it so interesting.

On the other hand, when a burning flame dies out, there'll still be the charred remains of what it was. And it's always going to sting a little just thinking about it. It may involve pride, dignity and a whole lot of other bullshit that was uncalled for; but overall, I'm glad I went through what I went through last year. It's made me into this whole other person. It's funny how accurate the process of how people go on from being strangers to acquaintances to friends to (more-than-friends) and then after a screw up, skipping out the entire process and goes back to being strangers again.

I can't say that there weren't any victims involved. Many many many people got hurt. It wasn't only from an emotional aspect. There's a bitter after-taste in thinking about how the lies were spun and how wrong everyone was about it. And then there came the whole trust issue. What's left of that for now is, act like it doesn't bother you. Initially, the pretense will bug one, but over time; it'll be like second nature - being cold is a cultivated habit. Hear no evil, feel no pain. Spare not a glance in the direction of those who don't deserve it.

Also, I've grown to be really fond of some people despite the many flaws that they have. It's amazing how unconditional love is. Knowing a person and how their flaws scar you, but yet you love them still. And the best part about all of this is that you never know what to expect. Just months ago, I was strangers with half the people I am so attached to now. I find it so amusing how we just picked up this friendship and continued as if we'd left it of years ago. Learning and growing with them is wonderful.

Simultaneously where new friendships start, old ones fade. I have this instinctive gut feeling that although we survived both the first and second semesters together (barely). And we've been through so many rough patches, it feels as if it goodbye. I try to hold on to them, but it's hard whenever you feel out of place with them. It's such a sad thing, really.

Furthermore, how many times have they said not to get into it if you can foresee yourself getting hurt? They say it every time. Yet, one can never really help themselves because emotions are always running high and they can't be controlled logically, Sometimes I wish he would do something so bad to screw up so I wouldn't bother turning his direction again, because the state that I'm in now has left me all rattled and confused. I wish I could understand him better on a platonic level first and foremost, but our differences are just too great. And yet, we get along well.

I feel like it is the end of the road now. And hopefully, this road will pick up when the next semester starts. I really don't want anything to change, because I've gotten attached to it. But I know change is inevitable. And with change, comes better prospects and new life experiences. What I want out of life, what I want to do; I realize, matters to no one, but myself. So I'll just keep this part of my life a close memory to my heart.

So, I can't help feeling really sad now. Really really really sad. A gaping wound in my heart. So with this salute, I shall return to my books and hope that all's well.

Holy shit. It's 5.30 and I have absolutely no possibility of sleeping tonight. Or tomorrow night.

I'm just going to crash in between my papers. On any chair, bench or table that can support my weight.

I'm in such a foul mood now those beetches better know not to screw with my head in the morning.

Come on, pull through tonight and tomorrow night. You'll get your deserved sleep when it's all over.

I hate the feeling of overwhelming exhaustion and nausea. I haven't had enough sleep for weeks. And it's the only thing I want but can't have right now.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Twice in one day's a lot. But it's a break from staring at an immobile screen. Goodbye social life, for three more days.

When people ask me why my make-up regimen does not consist of eyeliner and mascara, I tell them that I like to have the freedom to rub my eyes and scratch them at the corners when they're itchy.
And I don't think I should be held back.
What a bad day to be a Saturday. Sighs.

After a horrifyingly eventful week filled with the best and the worse of dramas and last minute assignments; we're off to a grand close. Yesterday was officially the last day of the semester and involved a very death-defying terror of my most morbid social fear - public speaking. With that wrapped up and my head in a little mist of social puffing, it's time to start the weekend by studying. And end it, by studying.

However; because I've been in an extremely foul mood lately, the countdown to FMFA stands at 6 more days. Oh my god!

Men in suits are so...classy. Such delectable taste. I think I'm wildly attracted to the mix they can pull off, retro-casual-classy-dope. Simultaneously, they have a tinge of rebellion in their persona.

These are a few visuals to help get me through the day. I laugh. Study mode: ON.

I'm sure everyone's familiar with the on-off again mood-swings one gets from time to time. I suppose I've been a victim to it; not that I've put up much of a fuss or fight against it. But I do notice that I tend to get lazy with my blog even though I have a ton of things to say.

While tucking into my scrumptious lunch today surrounded by a bunch of people I've grown to love over time, it struck me as something pretty darn amusing.

The handful of us don't even look remotely like people whom you would encounter together simultaneously.  Let alone be seen in the company of each other; neither do we look like we have the same interests and get along. Sure, some of us look like a bunch of wide-eyed innocents, demure, sweet and delicate; the others; reckless "gangsters", but oh how deceiving it is. They are some of the sweetest people I know.

Yes, I do realize that several of the pictures I post are not related to my posts.

Such a charming day for adorable mistakes and rustic changes.
For the first time in my entire college history, I decided to sleep in. I've never once skipped a class and I decided, "Hey! Since I slaved all night (albeit thanks for procrastination) finishing up my assignment, I might as well just reward myself a little and sleep in that couple hours extra.

Boy, the minute I opened my eyes this morning, I was greeted by the morning's ritual tsunami of messages on my phone. Attending to each one of them with a feeling of panic escalating higher with each message I read, I figured, "Screw panicking, it's time for breakfast." And for the first time in many weeks, I sat down and slowly chewed through a hearty brunch.

Left with an hour to get all my research done for an upcoming debate and less than 10 minutes to shower AND look presentable, I'm surprised I managed to look decent when I left the hour 30 minutes before class was about to start.

And so I was in a hurry. All day, throughout the day, before class, after class and even now. I'm in a hurry to get things done. And they seem like they'll never stop coming. So I shouldn't be in a hurry, right? I should just   adopt the "come what may" attitude and smile a prissy smile at everyone who asks, "Are you alright?".

Of course I'm alright. Finals are in a bloody week. No more procrastinating, my head hurts just thinking about all the studying I have to do. And we have two major presentations and a test this week. When will it end?

Look at this! Pictures of perpetual bliss! I regret! I regret so so so much. Procrastination! Why are you my greatest enemy???? Every semester, I pledge not to do this, yet I still do it. Finishing assignments at 2am. I'm so close to completing it, but there's still so much to do (sobs hysterically)
1. References 2. In-depth research 3. Citing e-books.
Honestly, who cares??!!!
And the best part is, I know I'm not the only one.

I'm thinking of sleeping in for once tomorrow and skipping a class. I haven't skipped any classes this semester except for sociology (which doesn't matter) and I'm in dire need of skipping one. But why must I choose the last public speaking class of the semester. Oh my god. 9am lectures are such a horror. And I know for a fact that I'll be sleeping in class.

I can't wait for our lunch date tomorrow :( It's the only thing that's keeping me going.

Happy Birthday Miriam Makeba! Google just had to tell me. I don't think sarcasm speaks through text.

Note my gradual mental decline as the minutes pass. What the hell am I even doing blogging?

These past two weeks have taught me a lot about friendship and how forgiveness and trust do not come easy.

As cynical as I am, as careless as I appear, as unreadable as I seem, I've never been the type of person who opens and catches easily unto people; the type of person who wants to be transparent, who isn't afraid to tell the truth; who despises curiosity and who is needy.

I am carefree, I don't seem to care enough. I never do. I never appear to let anything get to me and it feels good this way. I talk about my problems openly; analyzing, discussing and diagnosing them - because I feel that acknowledging them is the only way to overcome them. I hate being disregarded as somebody who lacks depth and intellect, and I don't like living up to people's expectations. I need space, I always need space. So much space - I tire easily and I bore

I must admit, I haven't exactly been the best friend a person could have, and I can't promise that I will be; but I will try my best.
