It's always a never-look-back policy. I'm not saying you have the best man, but when he's gone; you know that someone has screwed up.

Today, we had beer in the afternoon. A break from sociology and society. A calming dimension in a bottle. I was enjoying myself in fact until a game started and we took leave. And in between brain-grinding thinking, several of my friends turned up red, tipsy and disoriented in the library. That was a dangerous move.

Overall, it was a lovely day. I finally have my ticket for ASOT and FMFA, my heart is palpitating just anticipating raving that night.

And right now, I have a bad rash. No more tasting Glenfidditch in the afternoons. Since I have finally completed my assignments, I'm ready to call it an early night.

It's the last night of "holidays", although the past week hasn't been much of a break for me; mentally. Tomorrow, it's back to hard work and strenuous timetable. I've got to get up off my complacency couch and  cut back into working out.

As far as I can see now, I'm dreaming of going on a roadtrip, with my best friends, or boyfriend, or just a person I really love and depend upon. Roadtrips are adventures that offer you the best experience you can ever imagine, pain, suffering, perseverance and excitement. Of course I'm talking about roadtrips on a budget; and I'm most certainly not talking about a local roadtrip. America, perhaps. Renting a van and driving across the 49 states, maybe even up to Canada. Or backpacking across Eastern Europe.

I'll be sure by the time I return home, I'll never be the same again.

Oh look at the time and I'm still awake. What a lovely surprise, note extreme cynicism and sarcasm.

My plan on finishing up the thick paper, submitting it, gathering my brain juices together to formulate questions for a questionnaire and study for a Consumer Behavior quiz at 9am has completely failed me. I was supposed to sleep early, something I promised myself I'd do the night before. But look where I am now, pushing my body forward and keeping my eyes fixed on a goal that I'm struggling to understand.

Oh why do markets and consumers have to be so complicated.
Why does everything happen on a night that is supposed to be peaceful and quiet?

On another note, I've made it no secret that I'm a city girl. I love everything about the city, the fast lifestyle, the bright lights, the bustling streets and people. I'm in need of noise for someone who loves silence so much. That doesn't mean I don't love the country, I do - with a passion that defies even my own understanding, but I most certainly wouldn't last out in the peaceful country for more than a month. I'd go insane in my own head at how quiet lives are led out there.

As metropolitan as I am, I've always had a big dream to live in major cities. To own a a space - an apartment that I can call my own. To design it with my own hands and artistic taste (or what I think is artistic). I've always had a thing for apartment lofts and an even bigger thing for warehouse-living.

Yet for someone who dreams to live in cities, I've never actually been to any of my dream cities; except Seoul, but even then I was way too young to appreciate it's clustered splendor.

New York, Tokyo, Paris, Rome, parts of Eastern Europe and Bangkok are places I'd like to live in. Sprawling with people, the exchange of lifestyle and culture takes place at an immense rate.

But in the end, nothing beats home. That's where my heart is.
After all, no place offers "mamak" food like we do.
One of the latest trend things to be a part of is Instagram. It seems everyone has instagram these days. I've never been much of a photo-person, as in "into taking pictures of myself". I feel a little too self-conscious for self-gratification. However, one of the perks of instagram is that it opens up an entirely new perspective for you to see how others view the world. A picture speaks a thousand words and it's an amazing thing to be able to share in another individual's experience, lifestyle and passion towards photography.

I've recently starting following this one photographer called Alice Gao. Her pictures of food caught my eye, just cause I can't resist the color and the arrangement of pretty little edibles. She's got such an eye for simplistic and minimalistic beauty. She's also a blogger here.

I've never been sort of the person to be interested in gourmet dishes, but I have to squeal and admit the food decor/design is just too pretty to eat.

So ASOT and FMFA are coming...There's about a month and 10 days left on the countdown board. I'm so hyped up for this. A State of Trance reaches its 600th edition.

Personally, I've never really been into EDM music until late last year. And just a month into the new year has seen me get addicted to it; be it trance, dubstep etc.

First on the list however; I've got to clear my assignments, finish up with my finals for the semester and then spend the entire weekend raving. I can't wait.

On a more sour note; looks like it's another sleepless night. Thank you Lord for afternoon lectures.

Post-Monday Blues

Monday, February 4, 2013
I don't think any of us really looked forward to the college week as much as I do. I just really enjoy being around people, although it might make me a little uncomfortable at times (all the time). And I do end up doing rather stupid things on whim.

So this week, saw our assignment barrel being piled up with public speaking presentations, quizzes, questionnaires, drafts and assignments due...all at once.

I barely got any sleep last night, I'm not really sure why. But the practice really paid off in class today. I was hardly feeling blue, and that's rather unusual of me; especially since it is a Monday. Was up at 6.30am and in the computer labs rehearsing and moaning about how graphically disturbing my public speaking slideshow was. I still find it funny how none of the other girls can stand the gore.

Would it be safe to say that I was rather looking forward to getting the presentation over and done with?
Anyway, lunchtime was the highlight of the day. What better way to enjoy a 3 hour lunch break with good company, food and ambience. The three of us ended up in G3 in Bangsar and spent our lunch-break laughing and chatting.

This is the only original picture I have ever posted on this blog (unfiltered); credits to my sharp eye for angles and Derek's camera. Doesn't it look scrumptious?

We also had beer in the afternoon. I used to think it was nuts. But after today's sesh, I'm all up for it again.
We were both all up for getting high for our public speaking presentation, just to ease up our nerves; but I guess...it wasn't strong enough.

If all Mondays were like this....
